About the event
Sheng Zhen is a practice of meditation that incorporates both movement and stillness. It is a powerful, self-healing practice that affects not only our physical body, but calms our nervous system, strengthens our immune system, lifts our emotions, replenishes our energy and truly elevates our spirit.
In these monthly workshops we will learn various movements from Sheng Zhen forms that are extremely beneficial to practice as one movement. We will read the contemplation associated with the move and spend time deepening into the many depths and layers that each move provides. In this way, we can truly connect with the Universe and feel the power of the practice as we cultivate and transform our qi (life force). You will come away with a feeling of lightness and joy as we begin to open our hearts to connection -- with self and with others.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before to get settled in. You can bring a yoga mat and a favourite cushion, if you have one, and also a blanket.
